PURPOSE:To always intermittently feed optimally by controlling the braking voltage of a capstan motor when the moving distance of the motor becomes different from the set value. CONSTITUTION:A timing signal S1 of power driving and braking operations is applied by an intermittent drive signal generator 13 to a motor drive circuit MDA 7 at intermittent drive time. A capstan motor 4 rotates in response to the output signal of the MDA7, and the rotation is transmitted through a belt 6 to a pulley 5. A position detector 10 detects the moving distance of a magnetic tape 1 and generates a position signal S2. When the power driving and braking operations are completed, an error detector 11 detects the difference of the signals from a feeding amount set signal S3 and a position signal S2, and generates an error signal S4. A motor drive amount correcting signal generator 14 outputs sequentially by altering the polarity of the pulse, the number of pulses and the amplitude value of the pulse by the signal S4. |
