PURPOSE:An impregnating or casting resin composition excellent in storage stability, heating stability, etc., obtained by adding a transition metal salt of an organic acid as a curing agent to a solventless varnish prepared from a polyepoxide and polyisocyanate. CONSTITUTION:1 equivalent of a polyepoxide such as bisphenol A diglycidyl ether, or phenol formaldehyde novolak polyglycidyl ether is mixed with at least two equivalents of a polyisocyanate (e.g., methane diisocyanate or triphenylmethane triisocyanate). 0.005-10wt% salt of an organic acid with a transition metal selected from the group consisting of the elements of Groups I b, IIb, IVa, Va, VIa, VIIa, and VIII in the periodic table, as a cuing agent (e.g., zirconium octanoate or titanium naphthenate) is added to the above obtained solventless varnish to obtain the purpose resin composition.
