<p>An article of glassware has a neck (18) formed with an internal ground, tapered surface (16). The device has a male coupling part (12) complementary to and seated in the tapered surface (16) and also has a threaded part (24). A nut (22) screw- engages the threaded part and can be rotated to abut the rim (18a) of the neck to jack the device out of the neck. The male coupling part is preferably made of ptfe, which provides a tight seal in the neck, so that the engaged surfaces would be difficult to part without the jacking nut. The device is also contemplated for use as a coupling for tubing of different diameters. <IMAGE></p> |
