PURPOSE:To prevent errors from being generated in the subsequent pricing operation, by providing a resetting means for forcibly setting a classified total weight and a classified total amount of money to 0 when a classified total number of articles becomes 0 in a pricing operation in a subtracting mode. CONSTITUTION:To price by using a label printer, an article number corresponding to an item is inputted through keys on a board 5, and unit price data corresponding to the item are read. When an article (commodity) 2 is placed on a weighing platform 1, the label printer reads weight data, multiplies the weight data by the unit price to calculate the price, and feeds out a label printer with the price. The label is affixed to the article. Simultaneously, the number of articles, the amount of money and the weight are added to the values stored in a classified total memory (c). When an error is generated in the article number or the price after the pricing operation is repeated a predetermined times, a key for the subtracting mode on the board 5 is depressed, and pricing is redone. In this case, even when the number of articles is reduced to 0, the weight (hence, the price also) is not reduced to 0 due to evaporation of water or the like. The cope with this, the resetting means (b) is provided by which the values stored in the memory (c) are also reduced to 0 when the number of articles is reduced to 0.
