ROLLING METHOD OF CLAD STEEL BILLET

PURPOSE:To roll efficiently a clad billet in a way as to obviate generation of peeling by applying low speed rolling and strong draft rolling for rolling of the clad billet and making the rolling rate constant. CONSTITUTION:The product PmiXti of the average face pressure Pmi on work rolls and a rolled material and the contact time ti in the roll bite in each pass in the initial period of rolling is made >=3 in the stage of hot rolling a clad billet. The hot rolling is accomplished after the equation I for the cumulative value of the product PmiXti is set at >=10. Ordinary hot rolling is accomplished in each pass in the late period of rolling.
