Apparatus for limiting the firing field of a weapon to a predetermined target area. The apparatus comprises at least one stationary transmitter positioned in or adjacent the firing field, at least one directional receiver rigidly attached to the weapon and means for positioning the barrel of the weapon. A fire unblocking device coupled to the output of the receiver and to the weapon is actuated by the receiver to permit firing of the weapon when a signal is received from the transmitter thereby indicating that the barrel of the weapon is aimed toward the target area.
