PURPOSE:To attain to miniaturize the mechanism of the titled load cell, by constituting the same so that T-shaped cantilevered load cells protruded from the bottom and top sides of a parallelogram beam upwardly and downwardly are provided so as to be made freely displaceable in a vertical direction and horizontal friction force is detected on the basis of the displacement of both cantilevered load cells regardless of pressing force. CONSTITUTION:A T-spaped cantilevered load cell 224' is provided to the horizontal bottom side 221' of the parallelogram beam 22 of a friction testing machine 10 so as to be protruded unwardly therefrom and a T-shaped cantilevered load cell 226 having the same shape is provided to the horizontal top side 221'' thereof so as to be protruded downwardly. In the next step, both cantilevered load cells 224', 226 are engaged by a horizontal screw 227 which is fixed to the center of the parallelogram beam 22 in the height thereof and has a spherical leading end and contacted with the load cell 226 so as to be made freely slidable in an up-and-down direction. When a rotary wheel 14 is rotated to a clockwise direction, a specimen 18 flows to right and the load cells 224', 226 are together pushed to right through the screw 227 and deformed symmetrically in opposite directions to detect friction force only in a horizontal direction. |
