LOW HEAD HYDROPOWER GENERATING APPARATUS A low head hydropower generating apparatus is provided which includes a conduit arranged to conduct predetermined flow of water or other liquid from a region of a higher hydraulic head to a region of a lower hydraulic head, and a turbine assembly disposed in the conduit to be driven by water flowing through the conduit which turbine's output shaft drives either a generator for producing electrical power or any other mechanical device. The turbine assembly is comprised of a marine thruster designed to move water for use in propelling marine vessels, but in this apparatus the thruster is arranged to be driven by the water flowing through the conduit.
