PURPOSE:To reproduce a tracking pilot signal and to attain the interchangeability among devices by detecting a pilot signal out of a track next to the one which is under scan and using this detection output to give the tracking control to a rotary head. CONSTITUTION:When a track 5A2 is scanned, the crosstalks of pilot signals PA7 and PA2 of both adjacent tracks 5B3 and 5B2 are obtained. The crosstalk of the signal PA7, etc. is sampled by a sampling pulse SP1 which is supplied to a sampling/holding circuit 22. Then a tracking signal is supplied to a differential amplifier 23 of the next stage together with the output given from a peak holding circuit 21. This output of the circuit 21 is compared with the signal corresponding to the crosstalks of signals PA7, PA2, etc. Then a tracking control signal corresponding to a head 1A is obtained by a sampling pulse SP2 which is supplied to a sampling/holding circuit 24. |
