PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure a distance accurately without movement, by performing triangulation based on the measured distance data, which are obtained by a plurality of fixed reflecting devices that are separated by a specified distance and a movable reflecting device that is rotatably supported by a shaft with the equal distance being provided from both fixed reflecting devices. CONSTITUTION:A monitoring camera 1, which picks up the image of an object A, whose distance is to be measured, and an infrared-ray spot distance meter 2 as a distance measuring means are made to form a unitary body in a monitoring device 3. Mirrors 4 are fixed in front of the monitoring device 3 with a specidied distance l1 being probided. A movable mirror 5, which is freely rotated by a motor M around a shaft center P, is supported by the shaft at a position that is separated by the equal distance l2 from the mirror 4, i.e., the central position between incident light beams X1 and X2. The position of a fruit (a), which is located in the direction of the incident light beams X1 and X2, is obtained by rotating the mirror 5 by 180 deg. and confirmed by a monitoring TV6. Distances L1 and L2 are measured by the distance meter 2. The coordinates of the fruit (a) are computed by a contol unit 7. The position of the fruit (a) is detected by the principle of triangulation based on the coordinates and the distance l1. |
