PURPOSE:To return a head to the reproduction starting position in a short time by using a coincidence means which stops the drive of a head drive means at the time when the coincidence is obtained between the count values of the 1st and 2nd counting means. CONSTITUTION:A counter circuit 5 counts the number of tracks of a reproduction mode by a feedback pulse supplied from a spindle motor 3 and delivers the count value to a coincidence circuit 11. The pulse signal obtained by a comparator 9 is delivered to a counter circuit 10 to be counted as the number of tracks in a returm mode. The count value of the circuit 10 is always compared with the the number of reproduction tracks, i.e., the count value of the circuit 5 by the circuit 11. Then a head stop signal C is delivered to a head drive circuit 6 from the circuit 11 when the coincidence is obtained between the count values of circuits 5 and 10. Then the circuit 6 stops the return action of the head 1. |
