PURPOSE:To enable automatic replacement of tool having no shunk by employing main chuck of general machine tool in tool replacing/holding device then mounting/dismounting a tool integrally mounted with sub-chuck by means of a flanged nut. CONSTITUTION:Main chuck 2 having a dismountable nut 4 etched with rotary groove 3 for opening/closing a chuck in the outercircumference is coupled to a spindle 1 while a tool 6 pre-mounted on a sub-chuck 5 is mounted/dismounted on said main chuck 2. In such a machine tool, a flanged nut 9 is mounted on the sub-chuck 5. While a lock pin 14 to be inserted into the rotary nut of dismountable nut 4 is provided while energizing in the fitting direction in a housing 12 fixed to the casing 11. Furthermore, a tool support bush 19 for holding a tool 6 mounted on the sub-chuck 5 having flange section 8 mounted at the inside of housing 12 is provided slidably in axial direction and a stop piston 24 to be fitted in the outer diameter groove 10 of flanged nut 9 is provided insertably/ removably on said bush 19.
