The tube is fixed by one or more of its unplugged ends to an aspirator such as a pipette or liq. distributor. A liq. contg. an antigen or antibody can be sucked into the tube which is then emptied and washed e.g. by connection to the distributor. Another liq. which may contain the specific antibody for the antigen, or the antigen corresp. to the antibody, is then aspirated and the tube is emptied and washed again. - Another antibody or an antigen conjugated with any marker (radioactive, enzymatic or otherwise) is aspirated and finally the reaction is read.
