PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of copying operation and to form plural pictures at the same time by allowing a picture information output section and a picture signal storage section to form a picture designated by the said output section while changing over sequentially the control. CONSTITUTION:Readers 1, 2 read the picture of an original and a respective signal line is connected to a multi-input/multi-output controller (MIMOU)3. Printers 5, 6 record the picture through the signal lines from the MINOU3. A retention memory unit (RMU)4 stores/outputs picture information. Then the picture designated by the readers 1, 2 is formed by the readers 1, 2 and the RMU4 while changing over the control by means of the MIMOU3 sequentially.
