PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of bound and overshoot, and to execute exposure control with high accuracy by applying one period portion of a sine wave in desired amplitude and period to a shutter blade driving electrostriction element. CONSTITUTION:A sine wave in desired period and amplitude is generated from a sine wave oscillator 12 by a variable resistance 11 interlocked with a shutter speed, supplied to a non-inversion amplifier 13 to which a DC bias voltage is applied, and also supplied to a circuit system 20 for a timing control, too. One period portion of a positive level since wave passing through this amplifier 13 is supplied to an electrostriction element 1 through an analog gate 15 which is opened for one period of the sive wave by the circuit system 20, and a sector is driven. According to this constitution driven by one period portion of the sine wave, the influence of bound and overshoot due to the resonance of the electrostriction element and the collision of a driving force transfer mechanism is eliminated, and the exposure control is executed with high accuracy.
