The invention refers to a device for use with an internal combustion engine with a carburettor for fuel, to which an additional fluid is added, e.g. water, a mixture of water and an anti-freeze liquid or similar. The purpose of the above named invention is to produce a device that will make it possible to use low octane fuel in an internal combustion engine normally requiring high octane fuel without the knocks, i.e. abnormal combustion occurs, at the same time better fuel combustion is attained and thereby cleaner exhaust gas. This task has been solved by, in the carburettor's (1) venture pipe (3) leading a fuel pipe, in a previously known manner (4) as well as an intake pipe (5) for the fluid from a float-chamber (8) which is connected, if necessary, via a pump (18) to a tank (16). The float-chamber (8) can be raised and lowered relative to the intake pipe (5) for the regulation of which weight (throttle position) of fluid shall be sucked up, and the amount of fluid is adjustable by means of a needle valve (12).<IMAGE> |
