The system includes a mobile element which is U-shaped and made of square section tube. The U-shape encloses the item intended to be retained by the lock, e.g. steering wheel. The second part of the lock comprises a metal box (2) attached to a further square hollow tube which is made in two telescoping parts (3). The metal box is welded together, with a magnetically operated mechanism. - The hollow metal tubes contain a plastic tube which in turn contains glass tubing. The glass contains tear gas or a similar substance which is not harmful to health, but is a deterent.
