<p>PURPOSE:To provide accurate and sure registrating effect by constituting a register transport device from a register roller with a recess and a pressure contact plate in pressure contact therewith, and by installing a gate stopper in said recess in the register roller in such a way as possible to advance and retract. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet feed signal is emitted to actuate rotation of a feed roller 1, the uppermost lying one of the stacked sheets 2 is transported toward a gate stopper 7' on a register gate plate 7. Because here the stopper 7' lies in a recess 3' formed in the middle part of register roller 3 seen in its axial direction, the sheet 2 touches the stopper 7' and is given a curl as well as its attitude is corrected. When thereafter a register sheet-feed signal is emitted, a solenoid 11 is energized to cause rotation of the register gate plate 7 round a shaft 9, and now the stopper 7' is retracted to over a pressure contact plate 4. Thereby the leading edge of the sheet 2 gets rid of the curl and stretches forward, and the sheet advances to the nip part (a) between the pressure contact plate 4 and roller 3 to be further transported ahead.</p> |
