PURPOSE:To extend a life of a separating and contacting mechanism by constituting so that a release of press-contact is not executed until a prescribed copying cycle is ended, when a copying button is pushed again within a prescribed time after this copying cycle is ended. CONSTITUTION:When a copying button is pushed again within a prescribed time tw after a prescribed copying cycle is ended, a release of press-contact of fixing rollers, 1, 2 is not executed until this copying cycle is ended, and the number of times of separating and contacting operations is decreased than the number of times of pushing the copying button. Accordingly, a life of a separating and contacting mechanism can be extended. Also, when a power source is turned off, the press-contact of the rollers 1, 2 is released, therefore, it can be prevented that a wark adheres to the surface of the rollers 1, 2. |
