PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent concentration of voltage near metallic supports by constituting the sheath part of a light guide in such a way that the insulation resistance thereof is relatively smaller than the insulation resistance of the other constitution parts. CONSTITUTION:The core part 1 of a light guide is constituted of multi-component glass or quartz and silicone as well as nylon and a buffer material part 7 is constituted of glass yarn. A sheath part 3 is constituted of PVC or polyester elastomer. The sheath part 3 is so constituted that the insulation resistance thereof is made relatively smaller than the insulation resistance of the other constituting members by which the concentration of the voltage near metalic supports 4, 5 is prevented.
