PURPOSE:To prevent inadvertent burn injuries by showing a pattern on the top plate when the top plate is hot so that is may be made known that the heater is burning. CONSTITUTION:While the top plate 4 shows no pattern under normal temperature conditions, a flower pattern 5 clearly appears on the top plate 4 when the kerosene heater is heated by burning in a chimney. The pattern can be formed by applying enamel having pigment of cadmium family with masking to an enamel underocating having pigment, for instance, of chromium, iron or zinc family, and the color adjustment is made with other suitable pigment so that the color matching may be made under low temperature conditions. Since such cadmium family pigment allows the red or yellow color to turn into black about or above 200 deg.C, users can readily identify the discoloration. |
