Powdered mica and titanium dioxide are added to the printing colour in amt. of 5-25 wt.%. The printed fabric is subjected to heat shock at 180-210 deg. C causing relief patterns due to the differing amts. of contraction between the zones. Brilliant colours are obtd. by increasing the ratio of mica to titanium dioxide and matt colours by the reverse process.
