<p>PURPOSE:To prevent irregular transport of a sheet caused by a difference in the feed-out speed and direction by deflecting the direction of transporting a sheet in a rotating path of an endless belt and forming a loop of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:A sheet material 9 to which an image on an image bearing drum 1 has been transferred at a transfer portion (a) is fed out to the right with rotation of the drum 1 and drawn up to transport belts 27a, 27b by action of a fan 28 to be transported. At this time, the sheet material 9 is brought into contact with either of the transport belts 27a, 27b to keep a transport path at the bending portion D of the transport belts, so that the sheet material may pass the bending portion D smoothly. Subsequently, the sheet material 9 is bent doglegged along the transport belts 27a, 27b and transported, and the leading edge of the sheet material advances into a nip portion between fixing devices 7, 8. At this time, the sheet material 9 is moved on with a concave loop thereof formed, thereby to prevent irregular transport of a sheet caused by a difference in the feed-out speed and direction.</p> |
