PURPOSE:To obtain the titled image sensor, which can keep the level of a picture reading output high, prevents the projection of unnecessary beams to a semiconductor film and can read a color picture correctly, by mounting picture element electrodes arranged in the predetermined direction, an amorphous semiconductor film, a filter, etc. CONSTITUTION:Picture element electrodes 2 and leading-out electrodes 3 are formed on a glass substrate 1, and the picture element electrodes 2 are arranged to a line shape extending over the length of draft width, and arranged in rows such as four rows in th by-scanning direction Y. Electrodes 3a, 3d in the leading- out electrodes 3 are lead out in the direction mutually opposite to the by-scanning direction Y, and electrodes 3b, 3c are each lead out in the same direction as the leading-out electrodes 3a, 3d. An amorphous semiconductor film 4 is applied on the picture element electrodes 2 as a photoelectric conversion film. A common transparent electrode 5 is formed on the semiconductor film 4, an optical shielding film 6 is shaped on the electrode 5, and a color filter 8 consisting of filters 8a-8c is formed through a transparent protective film 7, thus separating the color of picture information beams.
