PURPOSE:To automatically sort sheets in a simple constitution by controlling the first and second discharge means in linkage with each other to alternately feed out every set of sheets from a sheet output device in a copying machine or the like. CONSTITUTION:The respective sheets P' for the first one set output from a copying machine 1 are normally discharged by a pair of sheet discharge rollers 4a, 4b, with an arm 63 positioned above, to be set in a straight posture onto a copy tray 5. With the arm 63 switched to the first posture lowered, the respective sheets P' for the next set are discharged in a slanting posture by a pair of slanting rollers 64, 65. Afterwards, every set of sheets is discharged with alternations of normal posture and slanting posture to be accumulated on the copy tray 5. This arrangement can eliminate the need of an expensive device and large power and accomplish automatic sorting operation. |
