PURPOSE:To transport a thin and circular member, such as a floppy disk, afloat so as to prevent deformation or damage, by supporting a holder movably on a carrier for traveling of a transport table, and by furnishing air blowout tables on both sides of the transport table seen in its traveling direction. CONSTITUTION:A belt conveyor 2 is supported on the bottom plate 1a of each of a pair of transport tables 1 arranged oppositely with a certain space between so as to form a groove 1' in the longitudinal direction. An air blowout table 3 is fixed to the side wall 1b of each transport table 1, and provided at its oversurface 3a with a number of air blowout holes 3b. In the above-mentioned groove 1', a carrier 4 is installed on the belt conveyor 2, and a holder 5 is supported by the support hole 4a provided in this carrier 4. In this arrangement, a flexible thin disk D is located on said holder 5, and air is jetted out of said air blowout holes 3b to lift the disk D, and now the carrier is moved to transport the disk D afloat. |
