PURPOSE:To eliminate the uneven luminance in a picture output by obtaining a voltage making variance of luminance amount of a color fiber optical tube constant in advance and forming the result on a table and reading the correction data so as to correct the luminance amount to be uniform. CONSTITUTION:A picture signals PS is a voltage signal V and inputted to an adder 20, a picture element clock corresponding to the picture signal PS is counted by an address counter 23 and a picture element address PA being the count value is inputted to a correcting amount table 24 to which the correcting amount is stored in advance. The adder 20 adds the voltage V being the picture signal PS and the correction data CD from the correction table 24 and the added data CF is inputted to a charateristic conversion table 21 as the corrected data CF. The data subject to characteristic conversions is converted into an analog signal by a DA converter 22 and impressed to a cathode of an FOT as a luminance signal.
