<p>2-Cyclohexylcarbonyl 4-oxo 1,2,3,7-tetrahydro-phenanthroline-2,4a of formula (I) is prepd. by (a) reacting a cpd. or formula (II), in which X is halogen, with bromine or chlorine in a biphase, liq. system in presence of a catalyst, with strong agitation for 1-10 hrs. at ambient temp.; (b) allowing to stand until the emulsion breaks; (c) sepg. the organic phase and drying with sodium sulphate; and (d) filtering and recrystallising.</p> |
