<p>PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a purifier and reduce its weight by forming a container to prevent the corrosion in the purifier container with ceramic, providing a container covering with a plate metal via a cushion material around this container, and fitting it to an exhaust pipe with screws. CONSTITUTION:A purifier is constituted with a filter 3 collecting particlualtes in the exhaust gas provided on the exhaust gas passage of an internal-combustion engine, a bypass passage 50 communicating the top and bottom of the filter 3, and a valve 51 opening/closing the bypass passage 50. The filter 3 is stored in a ceramic container 7 via annular seal members 4, 5 at both ends and a cushion material such as compressive wire meshes 6 at the center. The outer periphery of the said container 7 is covered with a plate metal container 9 via a cushion material such as compressive wire meshes 8, and one end is fitted to an exhaust manifold 11 with bolts 12 via a seal material 10. Accordingly, the durability of the purifier can be improved and its weight can be reduced.</p> |
