PURPOSE:To restrain a foaming property and enhance a washing effect for a developer, by adding an alcohol to a treating liquid comprising a surface active agent and water and used for washing away a printing plate surface. CONSTITUTION:A surface active agent, water and an alcohol are incorporated in a treating liquid used for treating a planographic printing plate material having a photosensitive layer on a base, after imagewise exposure to light and development but before a correcting treatment and/or a printing surface protecting treatment. By this, it is possible to treat the planographic plate while saving water, in which the foaming property during use of the treating liquid can be restrained. Accordingly, since a large amount of the treating liquid can be supplied, the developer on the printing plate can be easily washed away by the high washing effect. |
