An edge connector contact 3, which is joined to a terminal post 7 be a transverse arm 6, extends through an oversize aperture 5 in a wall of an insulating housing 1 and the arm 6 engages the outer surface of the wall, a forward extension 8 of the post 7 being fixed in the housing wall. The contact 3 may be a resilient blade and the extension 8 may pass through the housing wall and be secured by twisting its inner end 9. In another embodiment (Fig. 2, not shown), the contact (3<SP>1</SP>) is bifurcated for receiving a contact blade (12) staked to a printed circuit board, and the extension (8<SP>1</SP>) of the terminal post is moulded in the housing wall. |
