PURPOSE:To obtain a tunnel erasion type magnetic head for floppy disk memory of high density by using the partial grinding method of a ferrite core of a magnetic head for hard disk to shave off a part of a tunnel erasion type magnetic head for floppy disk. CONSTITUTION:An erasion head 5 having a gap 13 and an erasion head 6 having a gap 14 are set adjacent to each other at both side faces of a recording/reproducing head 4 having a gap 12. At the same time, sliders 7-11 are distributed at the upstream and downstream sides or both side faces of each head. Here the partial grinding method of a ferrite core which is fixed with a magnetic head for hard disk is used to shave off the outer sides of erasion heads 5 and 6 and sliders 8 and 10 respectively. Thus the erasion track width can be reduced to improve the production yield of a magnetic head for high density floppy disk. |
