PURPOSE:To enable secure firing without misfire by setting ignition timing as a delay time from the front edge of a signal, which is repeated at every predetermined time of each cylinder and selecting either the point of time after a defined minimum electrifying time has passed or the ignition timing, whichever is the later. CONSTITUTION:The captioned device has a reference position signal outputting means A, an engine load and an engine speed detecting means C, D, and a detecting means F for engine operating conditions, such as, battery voltage, engine speed, etc., and the output signal of the above stated output means A is wave-form shaped into a pulse signal through a wave-form shaping means B and inputted in an ignition timing operating means E together with the output signals of each detecting means C, D. And the target ignition timing is calculated as a delay time from the front edge of the above stated pulse signal. And, the predetermined minimum electrifying time of an ignition coil is operated from the output signal of the detecting means F through an electrifying period operating means G, and the point of time of either the completing time of said delay time or the completing time of said minimum electrifying time, whichever is the later, is outputted as the ignition timing, through a correcting means H. |
