PURPOSE:To make a manual operation unnecessary and improve serviceability by providing a temperature sensor and a liquid level sensor, judging whether the start is an initial start or a restart every time an engine is started, and automatically performing an air discharge action in response to this judgment result. CONSTITUTION:The said cooler has a closed circulation system connected with a water jacket 2, a condenser 3, a refrigerant tank 13, and a refrigerant pump 4; and a reservoir tank 21 storing the spare liquid refrigerant sufficient to fill the said circulation system is provided outside this system. During the engine start, if the start is judged to be an initial start based on the output of a temperature sensor 33, solenoid valves 24, 29 are opened, and the refrigerant pump 4 is driven for a predetermined time, thus the air in the system is pushed out via an exhaust passage 28 by the introduction of the refrigerant in the tank 21. Next, the solenoid valves 24, 29 are closed, solenoid valves 25, 27 are opened, and a cold start control is started to contol the refrigerant pump 4 based on the output of a liquid level sensor 32. |
