PURPOSE:To enable uniform aging to be performed through eliminating the effect of a spark, by providing a constant-voltage power source having a protective circuit between a contactor which contacts with a power feeding band and a cathode-ray tube, adhere the cathode ray tube is subjected to an aging process. CONSTITUTION:When a contactor 3 is forced to slide along a power feeding band 2 connected to a power source 1 and aging is performed moving a color cathode-ray continuously, a constant-voltage power source 7 which consists of diodes D1, D2 and condensers C1, C2 and to which is added a protective circuit 8 absorbing an instataneous high voltage caused by positive and reverse both- direction sparks, is inserted between the contactor 3 and the filament of the color cathode-ray tube 5. Consequently, the breakage of diodes and transistors which are placed within the constant-voltage power source 7 can be prevented by the discharge which is often generated between electrodes constituting an electron gun during an aging process, and thus uniform aging can be performed stably. |
