PURPOSE:To produce an inexpensive system by splitting the locker arm into cam side arm and valve side arm while providing a plunger on one arm for energizing to contact against the other arm thereby enabling change between slide and fix of plunger by means of a movable lever. CONSTITUTION:Under heavy and intermediate load area of engine, a solenoid (not shown) will not function and an exciting shaft 17 is moved to the right by means of a spring to engage the stopper hole sectio 21a of exchange hole 21 of lock-off plate 19 with the engaging section 22 fromed at the end of plunger 14 while reducing the diameter thus to fix the plunger 14. Then the cam side arm 11 and valve side arm 12 of locker arm 9 are jointed integrally to open/close the valve through rotation of cam shaft. While under low load area, solenoid will function to move the plate 19 to the left through exciting shaft 17 thus to allow sliding of plunger 14 and to rotate both arms 11, 12 relatively to disable the valve. |
