PURPOSE:To obtain an information storage medium which can reproduce a reproduction signal having a satisfactory degree of modulation, by providing a part parallel to a track groove on an information signal recording part where the width of said groove is partially reduced. CONSTITUTION:A groove 2 for guide track is formed on a substrate 1 with fixed height. The groove 2 is partially narrowed to form an information signal recording part 3. Then a part 4 parallel to the groove 2 is formed at the part 3 at least in a fixed section. The stable tracking is secured since the groove 2 is continuous, and the difference in reflection factor can be detected assuredly owing to the existence of the part 4. Thus it is possible to reproduce a reproduction signal which can obtain a satisfactory degree of modulation. |
