PURPOSE:To enable the detection of internal stress of an epoxy cast product by having a strongly basic aqueous solution acting thereon. CONSTITUTION:A strongly basic aqueous solution is made to act on an epoxy case product to detect a spot with a large inner stress in the epoxy cast product. For example, as an epoxy cast product 12a with a large internal stress, a metal insert 11a is buried into an epoxy resin hardened matter 10 produced by hardening a resin composition comprising polybasic carboxylic anhydride, an epoxy resin and a filler. The epoxy cast product 12a thus obtained is emmersed into a strongly basic aqueous solution at the room temperature for about 4-24hr and when it is taken out, a crack 13 generates. Thus, depending on the way the crack 13 generates, any spot with a large internal stress can be detected with ease. |
