PURPOSE:To prevent the jet flow to run into the back face of the bucket and the end of the nozzle when it is in a totally closed state, by regulating the distance between the end position of the water receiving surface of the deflector of a pelton wheel and the center of the jet flow. CONSTITUTION:A deflector is fitted to a nozzle 2 by a pin 90a so that the deflector can rotate. The distance y between the end position of the water receiving surface 90b and the center of the jet flow 3 is set 0.67-0.78 of the diameter do of the jet flow, when the deflector is totally closed. Thus, when the deflector is totally closed it is positioned so that the flow 3a to the direction of the reverse rotation of the runner will not run into the back face of a bucket and the end of a nozzle 2. |
