PURPOSE:To improve economy when the amount of information is small by varying the width of pulses to be sent out according to the contents of transmit information at the transmission side of a system which transmits and receives information through a common bus. CONSTITUTION:When the acquisition of the right to use a bus B is indicated through a control line C, the control circuit CTR of the transmission/reception part DR of equipment A1 actuates a control circuit S for the right of use to acquire the right of use and then report that to the equipment A1. The contents of transmit information from a control line D are transmitted to a pulse width specifying circuit WA and pulses having the pulse width corresponding to the contents are generated and sent out to the bus B. Transmission/reception parts DR of respective devices A1-AN receives said pulses by pulse detecting circuits PR to measure the pulse width, and discriminate the pulse width by pulse discriminating circuits WD to translate it into information contents. |
