<p>PURPOSE:To provide a water based ink suitable for use in ink jet recording and as ink for writing utensils, consisting of an aq. soln. contg. a naphthylaminesulfonic acid azo dye and a specified surfactant. CONSTITUTION:An azo dye (A) of formula I (wherein n is 1-4; R1 is H, a 1-4C alkyl, cyano, etc.; R2 is H, a 1-5C alkyl, carboxyl, etc.; R3 is H, a 1-3C alkyl, allylcarbamoyl, etc.; M is H, alkali metal, amine), at least one surfactant (B) selected from among a polyoxyethylenealkylamine of formula II [wherein R is a 15-19C linear hydrocarbon group; n, m are each 0-18 (n+m=8-18)], a polyoxyethylene alkylphenyl ether of formula III (wherein R is a 7-13C linear hydrocarbon group; n is 12-20) and a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether of formula IV(wherein R4, R5 are each a 6-8C alkyl; n is 10-15) and other additives (C) (viscosity modifier, pH adjuster, etc.) are dissolved in water.</p> |
