The funnel-like container (1) is divided into a plurality of cells (2, 2a, 4, 4a) which can be filled with a wide variety of materials to be pressed. The pressing space (7) which has the pressing plungers (5, 5a) on two sides is located below the container (1). The travel of the said pistons extends perpendicularly with respect to the travel of the pressure piston (8). The latter conveys the material to be pressed or the pressed material further into the discharge channel (9) of the press. There, the material can be dried or further processed in some other manner. <IMAGE>
