PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a steel belt by coupling a lot of V-blocks contacting a V-pulley with links on both sides through pins in such a manner as to freely bend and disposing inclined surfaces on the sides of the V-blocks and outside surfaces of the links. CONSTITUTION:A steel comprises V-blocks 11 which are coupled to each other like a ring by fixing links 12, 12 on both sides, and inclined surfaces 14, 21 having specified form in order to engage with the inclined surface of a V-pulley are formed on the inside diameter sides of both outside surfaces. Accordingly, the V-block 11 is adapted to give and take power to and from the V-pulley, and besides functions as a link for transmitting tension applied upon the steel belt, which can reduce the number of parts and the weight of the belt. |
