发明名称 METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AMOUNT OF OXYGEN IN MOLTEN COPPER FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING
摘要 PURPOSE:To make the amt. of oxygen in molten copper coincide with a set value with high accuracy by charging copper oxide powder as a part of a raw material into the molten copper under transfer and controlling the amt. of oxygen in the molten copper. CONSTITUTION:Copper is continuously melted by a melting furnace 1 to hold once the molten copper in a holding furnace 2 and the molten copper is transferred through a rounder 3 to a continuous casting machine 4. A charger 5 for copper oxide powder is provided on the upstream side of the rounder 3 to charge continuously copper oxide powder 6 to the rounder. A probe 7 for measuring oxygen is provided in the molten metal on the downstream side thereof to measure the amt. of oxygen in the molten copper. The measured value is fed to a computer 8 and is compared with the set atm. of oxygen. A charging motor for the charger 5 is automatically controlled by the comparison signal thereof, by which the amt. of oxygen in the molten copper is controlled to a set value.
