PURPOSE:To make the whole body of a device small in size by forming frames into slender ones, by connecting the left and right frames with the aids of connecting members and concentrating the stresses produced at the time of edging a rolling material on the connecting part to prevent the moments producing on the frames. CONSTITUTION:A titled device is constituted of frames provided with dies 31 and connecting members for connecting the left and right frames 5. The dies 31 are arranged at both ends of the width direction of a rolling material, and are enabled to advance and retreat for the purpose of compressing the material in the width direction. By the device mentioned above, the stresses produced at the time of compressing the material in the width direction, are supported by the connecting members 22, 23; and the frames are reduced in size, because a moment is not produced on the frame 5, too. |
