摘要 PURPOSE:To increase transmitted torque to such a degree that the endless belt of a V-belt equipment might be broken, by providing the transmission blocks of the V-belt equipment, which are engaged in V-belt pulleys, with a very high rigidity in the directions perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the endless belt. CONSTITUTION:The transmission blocks 6 of a V-belt equipment 1, which are engaged in the V-groove 12b of a driving V-belt pulley 12, are made of a rigid material such as metal, sintered alloy and ceramic. The transmission blocks 6 receive the torque of the V-belt pulley 12 by the frictional force between the side surfaces 6a of the blocks and the walls 12a of the V-groove of the pulley. The torque is then transmitted to other transmission blocks 6 engaged in a driven V-belt pulley 14, by the tension of an endless belt 2 on which suspension members 3 supporting the transmission blocks are secured. The torque is thereafter transmitted from the latter transmission blocks 6 to the driven V-belt pulley 14.
