A method of transmission, useful in particular for transmitting monitoring or alarm information between terminals 10 and repeaters 24 of the link, is based on the transmission of information at low throughput by making special sequences appear in the normal communication messages. These sequences are made to appear by modifying the sequences belonging to the message and which are near the special sequences, which can in particular be prohibited sequences. The information is received by identifying the repeated presence of one of the said special sequences when these special sequences are sequences prohibited by the coding of the message, from the presence of one of the said special sequences with a probability greater than that of the other sequences of like length in the case of uncoded messages. <IMAGE> |
