<p>PURPOSE:To quickly replace brake shoes, by engaging the protrusions of the outer edges of the back metals of the shoes in the recesses of a caliper member, and supporting the back metals on both the sides by retainer pins erected on the caliper member. CONSTITUTION:Both brake shoes 7, 8, 16, 17 are maintained in position by engagement of the protrusions 9a, 10a, 14a, 15a of back metals with the recesses 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f of a caliper member and the action of anchor pins 12, 13. For braking, pressure oil is introduced into cylinders 5, 6 to drive pistons 3, 4 to pinch a disk 11. The braking torque causes at that times is carried through the engagement of the protrusions 9a, 10a, 14a, 15a with the recesses 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f. A very small souple of forces caused in the braking are carried by the anchor pins 12, 13.</p> |
