PURPOSE:To prevent saturation of a stored electric charge by resetting a transfer clock pulse generating means in response to fall of a prescribed level of the output of a monitor circuit and generating a shift pulse in response to a reset pulse. CONSTITUTION:A digital signal for discriminating the focusing state is generated in a circuit block 20 on a basis of a photoelectric converted signal from a photoelectric converting block 1 provided with a self-scanning image sensor such as a CCD, a luminance monitor circuit, etc., and focus detection of a TV camera is performed through a microcomputer 30. By fall of the prescribed level of the output of the monitor circuit in this block 1, the output of an AND gate AN1 is inverted to the high level, and the reset pulse of the high-level Q output is generated from a reset pulse generating flip-flop DF1 to reset a transfer clock pulse generating means 10. Simultaneously, the shift pulse is generated from a shift pulse generating flip-flop DF2, which is connected to said flip-flop, without delay. Consequently, the CCD is not saturated even in case of a bright object to detect the in-focus state accurately. |
