PURPOSE:To allow controlling of functions from a mark sheet by reading marks written in a mark sheet as a facsimile signal and inputting the mark information to a rewritable memory means. CONSTITUTION:A column marked with *, in which the setting of selective control functions of a facsimile device is supposed to be modified, and modified content columns are provided in a mark sheet, and marks are written in the column concerned. A sheet 24 is set to a facsimile 2, and marks are read out. A reading circuit 9 transmits the signal of read-out marks to a mark information detection circuit 23, finds a start mark and an end mark 26, and detects modified items and the contents by the distance between the start and end marks. Detected mark informtion is outputted to a memory circuit 22, the stored contents are modified, and a control circuit 21 controls according to the stored contents. Its control system is modified.
